Private Device LAN
Soracom Gate enables direct communication between devices within the same Virtual Private Gateway (VPG). Devices can reach each other using private IP addresses, creating a local area network that spans across cellular connections.
What it does
- Device-to-device communication — Devices in the same VPG can send traffic directly to each other via private IP
- Server-to-device access — Backend servers connected to the VPG can initiate connections to devices
- LAN over cellular — Create a virtual LAN that spans geographically distributed cellular-connected devices
