Operators

An Operator is the root account entity in the Soracom platform. Each operator account owns SIMs, devices, groups, and service configurations. Operators manage billing, create SAM users for team access, and control platform-wide settings.

What it does

• Account identity: Serves as the top-level entity that owns all resources in the Soracom platform
• Organization management: Set account-level preferences, regional settings, and default configurations
• API authentication: Use operator credentials or API keys for programmatic platform access
• Multi-account support: Create separate operator accounts for different business units or environments
• Billing ownership: Each operator has its own billing, payment method, and usage tracking
